JAVEA

Javea (Xàbia) is a municipality of the Valencian Community, Spain. Located on the north coast of the province of Alicante, in the region of Marina Alta. It has a population of 27,681 inhabitants, of which 53.1% are of foreign nationality. It is estimated that the population reach about 150,000 inhabitants in summer, although tourism tends to frequent Jávea all year round. Numerous activities are developed around these population movements: catering, sports andrecreational activities varied, etc. Tourism began in the mid-60s thanks to the creation of a Parador de Turismo. The Arenal beach, the only one of this material, was made as a central point, although there is a great variety of beaches formed of different materials: gravel, tosca (rock), stone, rock. Beaches

In the area of Ambolo, passing the Cape of the Nao, is the nudist beach of Jávea, an area of large stones and cliffs, suitable to go naked, being able to hide from the lively looks of the curious who from the promontory of Ambolo go to have a look. And lastly the cove of Granadella, bordering beach with Benitachell, which is a large cove and perhaps the second most visited by tourists. It is of medium, large stone, combining two small coves to the right and rocks to the left where people enjoy jumping from them. This beach was chosen best beach of Spain 2012.

The most significant monument is the Church of San Bartolomé in the center of the village. This church dates from the s. XVI and combines the strength (by its square form and its internal buttresses) and the sobriety of a church. Its bell tower stands out over the town and can be seen from any part of the region. It is National Artistic Monument since 1931. During the summer, several beach bars are located in the area of the First Muntanyar, where you can enjoy the wonderful sunsets, have a drink during the hot summer nights or go to any of the parties that are there They celebrate every night. Due to the proximity of the two international airports: El-Altet (Alicante) and Manises (Valencia), it is very well communicated. And thanks to the AP-7 highway that has very close access, it is very easy to reach any destination. There are AVE trains to Madrid from Valencia and Alicante.
