Benidorm is a city of the Province of Alicante (Comunidad Valenciana). It is located in the Comarca of the Marina Baja, on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. It is one of the most important and well-known tourist destinations in the whole of the Mediterranean and the Costa Blanca thanks to its beaches and its nightlife. It has about 75,000 inhabitants. Its particular geographical configuration makes the surrounding mountains, Sierra Helada, in the East; Sierra Cortina and Puig Campana, in the North and the Tossal de la Cala in the West, protect it from the action of the winds that could alter its pleasant climatology. The attraction of Benidorm lies in its three beaches with blue flag, maximum distinction granted by the European Union. Due to the proximity of the two international airports: El-Altet (Alicante) and Manises (Valencia), it is very well communicated.
